Do you believe that God hears and answers specific prayer? It's always an amazing thing.
Recently I was asking the Lord to make it clear me if He wanted me to get a job outside the home. I have always treasured the privilege of being a stay-at-home mother. But like it or not, widowhood changes your perspective on a lot of things. And so I wondered.....and so I asked Him about it.
Obviously, if you know me, you know that I have a home-based business with Plexus, and I love it! And I know that Plexus has the possibility of abundantly providing for my household. It's just that I'm not personally quite at that level yet. And so I wondered...and so I asked for guidance.
That morning I "just happened" to be in Psalm 68. Verse 5 is encouraging - "A father of the fatherless and a defender of widows is God in His holy habitation." And then I lighted on verse 12 - "She who remains at home will divide the spoil."
It was so kindly clear! At least for now, remain at home.....work from home....be with the children....and trust God to grow the business as He sees fit to grow it. The Lord will provide.
On that very same day, I opened my mailbox and had a letter from a friend who has never written me before. Enclosed in the envelope was a sizable gift. Again - the Lord says - "I will take care of you and your children."
I have prayed often lately, "Lord, do whatever pleases You in my life, only let it be a testimony to the fact that GOD is REAL and the GOSPEL is TRUE." I am so grateful for His reality and His answers!
